1 Тоді Соломон проказав: „„Промовив Господь, що Він пробува́тиме в мряці.

2 А я збудува́в храм оселі Твоєї, і місце Твого́ пробува́ння навіки!“

3 І повернув цар обличчя своє, та й поблагословив увесь Ізраїлів збір, увесь же Ізраїлів збір стояв.

4 А він сказав: „Благословенний Госпо́дь, Бог Ізраїлів, що Своїми устами говорив був із моїм батьком Давидом, і руками Своїми ви́конав, кажучи:

5 Від того дня, коли Я вивів Свій народ з єгипетського кра́ю, Я не вибрав Собі міста зо всіх Ізраїлевих племе́н, щоб збудувати храм на пробува́ння Мого Імени там. І не вибрав Я ніко́го, щоб був володарем над народом Моїм, Ізраїлем.

6 Та вибрав Я Єрусали́м на пробува́ння Мого Імени там, і вибрав Я Давида, щоб був над народом Моїм, Ізраїлем.

7 І було на серці мого батька Давида збудува́ти храм для Ймення Господа, Бога Ізраїлевого.

8 Та сказав Господь до мого батька Давида: За те, що на твоє́му серці було збудувати храм для Ймення Мого, ти зробив добре, що було тобі на серці.

9 Тільки ти не збудуєш цього храму, але син твій, що вийде із сте́гон твоїх, — він збудує цей храм для Ймення Мого!

10 І спо́внив Госпо́дь Своє слово, що Він говорив. І став я замість батька свого Давида та й сів на Ізраїлевому троні, як говорив був Господь, і я збудував оцей храм для Ймення Господа, Бога Ізраїлевого.

11 І поставив я там ковчега, що в ньому Господній заповіт, якого Він склав з Ізраїлевими сина́ми“.

12 І став він перед Господнім же́ртівником навпроти всього Ізраїлевого збору, і простяг свої ру́ки.

13 А Соломон зробив був мідяне́ стоя́ло, і поставив його на сере́дину подві́р'я, — п'ять ліктів довжина йому, і п'ять ліктів ширина йому, а три лікті вишина йому. І став він на ньому, і став на коліна свої навпроти всього Ізраїлевого збору, і простяг свої руки до неба,

14 та й сказав: „Господи, Боже Ізраїлів! Нема подібного Тобі Бога на небі та на землі! Ти стереже́ш заповіта та милість для Своїх рабів, що ходять перед Твоїм лицем усім своїм серцем.

15 Ти спо́внив Своєму рабові Давидові, батькові моєму, те, що говорив йому. І говорив Ти йому Своїми устами, а рукою Своєю ви́повнив, як цього дня.

16 А тепер, Господи, Боже Ізраїлів, спо́вни для Свого раба Давида, мого батька, те, що говорив Ти йому, кажучи: Не переведе́ться з-перед лиця Мого ніхто з тих, що мають сидіти на Ізраїлевому троні, якщо тільки сини твої будуть доде́ржувати своїх доріг, щоб ходити в Зако́ні Моїм, як ти ходив перед лицем Моїм.

17 А тепер, Господи, Боже Ізраїлів, нехай буде запе́внене слово Твоє, яке Ти говорив рабові Своєму Давидові.

18 Бо чи ж справді Бог сидить з люди́ною на землі? Ось небо та небо небе́с не обіймають Тебе, — що́ ж тоді храм цей, що я збудував?

19 І Ти зве́рнешся до молитви Свого раба та до його блага́ння, Господи, Боже мій, щоб почути по́клик та молитву, якою раб Твій мо́литься перед лицем Твоїм,

20 щоб очі Твої були відкриті на цей храм удень та вночі, на те місце, про яке Ти сказав, що покладе́ш Ім'я́ Своє там, щоб почути молитву, якою буде моли́тися Твій раб на цьому місці.

21 І Ти бу́деш прислуха́тися до блага́нь Свого раба та Свого народу, Ізраїля, що будуть молитися на цьому місці. І Ти почуєш із місця Свого пробува́ння, із небе́с — і почуєш, і пробачиш.

22 Якщо згрішить люди́на проти свого бли́жнього, і буде примушена прине́сти клятву, щоб присягнути, і клятва при́йде перед Твоїм же́ртівником у цьому храмі,

23 то Ти почуєш із небе́с, і зробиш, і розсу́диш Своїх рабів, — обвинува́тиш несправедливого, щоб дати його дорогу на його го́лову, й усправедли́виш справедливого, щоб дати йому за його справедливістю.

24 А якщо Твій наро́д, Ізра́їль, бу́де вда́рений ворогом, бо прогрішив Тобі, і коли вони зве́рнуться, і бу́дуть хвалити Ім'я́ Твоє, і будуть молитися, і будуть благати Тебе в цьому храмі,

25 то Ти почуєш із небе́с, і про́стиш гріх народу Свого, Ізраїля, і ве́рнеш їх до землі, яку дав Ти їм та їхнім батькам!

26 Коли затримається небо, і не буде дощу, бо прогріша́ться Тобі, то вони помоляться на цьому місці, і будуть сла́вити Ім'я́ Твоє, — і з гріха́ свого наве́рнуться, бо Ти будеш їх впокоря́ти, —

27 то Ти почу́єш на небеса́х, і пробачиш гріх Своїх рабів та народу Свого, Ізраїля, бо покажеш їм ту добру дорогу, якою вони пі́дуть, і Ти даси дощ на Край Свій, якого Ти дав Своєму наро́дові на спа́дщину!

28 Голод коли бу́де в Краю́, морови́ця коли буде, посу́ха, жовта́чка, сарана́, черва́ коли буде, коли його вороги гноби́тимуть його́ в Краї міст його, коли буде яка пора́за, яка хвороба, —

29 усяка молитва, усяке блага́ння, що буде від якої люди́ни чи від усього наро́ду Твого́, Ізраїля, коли кожен буде знати пора́зу свою та горе своє, і простя́гне руки свої до цього храму,

30 то Ти почуєш із небе́с, із місця постійного пробува́ння Свого́, — і пробачиш, і даси тому чоловікові за всіма́ його дорогами, бо Ти знаєш серце його, бо Ти один знаєш серце лю́дських синів,

31 щоб вони боялися Тебе, і ходили Твоїми дорогами по всі дні, які вони житимуть на поверхні землі, яку Ти дав батька́м нашим!

32 Також і чужи́нця, який не з наро́ду Твого, Ізраїля, і він при́йде з далекого кра́ю ради Йме́ння Твого́ великого, і руки́ Твоєї Сильної та раме́на Твого ви́тягненого, і при́йде, і помо́литься в цьому храмі,

33 то Ти почуєш це з небе́с, місця постійного пробува́ння Свого, і зробиш усе, про що буде кликати до Тебе той чужи́нець, щоб усі наро́ди землі пізнали Ім'я́ Твоє, та щоб боялися Тебе, як народ Твій, Ізра́їль, і щоб пізнали вони, що Ім'я́ Твоє покликане над оцім храмом, що я збудував!

34 Коли народ Твій ви́йде на війну на своїх ворогів, доро́гою, якою Ти пошле́ш їх, і помо́ляться вони до Тебе в напрямі до цього міста, що Ти вибрав його, та храму, що я збудував для Ймення Твого,

35 то почуєш Ти з небе́с їхню молитву та їхнє блага́ння, — і вчиниш їм суд!

36 Коли вони згріша́ть Тобі, — бо немає люди́ни, щоб вона не згріши́ла, — і Ти розгніваєшся на них, і даси їх во́рогові, а їхні поневі́льники ві́зьмуть їх до неволі до кра́ю далекого чи близько́го,

37 і коли вони при́йдуть до розуму в краю́, куди взяті до неволі, і наве́рнуться, і бу́дуть блага́ти Тебе в краю́ своєї неволі, говорячи: Ми згрішили, скривили дорогу свою, і були ми несправедливі,

38 і коли вони наве́рнуться до Те́бе всім своїм серцем і всією́ душею своєю в краю́ своєї неволі, куди їх понево́лили, і помоляться в напрямі до свого Кра́ю, що Ти дав їхнім батькам, і в напрямі міста, яке Ти вибрав, та храму, що я збудував для Ймення Твого́,

39 то Ти почуєш із небе́с, із постійного місця пробува́ння Свого́, їхню молитву та їхні блага́ння, і вчи́ниш їм суд, і про́стиш Своє́му наро́дові, що вони згрішили Тобі!

40 Тепер, Боже мій, благаю, нехай будуть очі Твої відкриті, а уші Твої наста́влені на слу́хання молитви цього місця!

41 А тепер, — Устань же, о Господи, Боже, на Свій відпочи́нок, Ти й ковчег сили Твоєї! Священики Твої, о Господи Боже, нехай у спасі́ння зодя́гнуться, а побо́жні Твої хай добром веселя́ться!

42 Господи Боже, не відве́ртай лиця від Свого́ помазанця, згадай же про милість Своєму рабові Давиду!“

Chapter 6

1 Then227 said559 Solomon,8010 The LORD3068 has said559 that he would dwell7931 in the thick darkness.6205

2 But I have built1129 an house1004 of habitation2073 for you, and a place4349 for your dwelling3427 for ever.5769

3 And the king4428 turned5437 his face,6440 and blessed1288 the whole854 3605 congregation6951 of Israel:3478 and all3605 the congregation6951 of Israel3478 stood.5975

4 And he said,559 Blessed1288 be the LORD3068 God430 of Israel,3478 who has with his hands3027 fulfilled4390 that which834 he spoke1696 with his mouth6310 to my father25 David,1732 saying,559

5 Since4480 the day3117 that I brought3318 forth3318 my people5971 out of the land776 of Egypt4714 I chose977 no3808 city5892 among all3605 the tribes7626 of Israel3478 to build1129 an house1004 in, that my name8034 might be there;8033 neither3808 chose977 I any man376 to be a ruler5057 over5921 my people5971 Israel:3478

6 But I have chosen977 Jerusalem,3389 that my name8034 might be there;8033 and have chosen977 David1732 to be over5921 my people5971 Israel.3478

7 Now it was in the heart3824 of David1732 my father25 to build1129 an house1004 for the name8034 of the LORD3068 God430 of Israel.3478

8 But the LORD3068 said559 to David1732 my father,25 For as much as it was in your heart3824 to build1129 an house1004 for my name,8034 you did well2895 in that it was in your heart:3824

9 Notwithstanding7535 you shall not build1129 the house;1004 but your son1121 which shall come3318 forth3318 out of your loins,2504 he shall build1129 the house1004 for my name.8034

10 The LORD3068 therefore has performed6965 his word1697 that he has spoken:1696 for I am risen6965 up in the room8478 of David1732 my father,25 and am set3427 on5921 the throne3678 of Israel,3478 as the LORD3068 promised,1696 and have built1129 the house1004 for the name8034 of the LORD3068 God430 of Israel.3478

11 And in it have I put7760 the ark,727 wherein834 8033 is the covenant1285 of the LORD,3068 that he made3772 with the children1121 of Israel.3478

12 And he stood5975 before6440 the altar4196 of the LORD3068 in the presence5048 of all3605 the congregation6951 of Israel,3478 and spread6566 forth his hands:3709

13 For Solomon8010 had made6213 a brazen5178 scaffold 3595of five2568 cubits520 long,753 and five2568 cubits520 broad,7341 and three7969 cubits520 high,6967 and had set5414 it in the middle8432 of the court:2691 and on it he stood,5975 and kneeled1288 down on his knees1290 before5048 all3605 the congregation6951 of Israel,3478 and spread6566 forth his hands3709 toward heaven.8064

14 And said,559 O LORD3068 God430 of Israel,3478 there is no369 God430 like3644 you in the heaven,8064 nor in the earth;776 which keep8104 covenant,1285 and show mercy2617 to your servants,5650 that walk1980 before6440 you with all3605 their hearts:3820

15 You which have kept8104 with your servant5650 David1732 my father25 that which834 you have promised1696 him; and spoke1696 with your mouth,6310 and have fulfilled4390 it with your hand,3027 as it is this2088 day.3117

16 Now6258 therefore, O LORD3068 God430 of Israel,3478 keep8104 with your servant5650 David1732 my father25 that which834 you have promised1696 him, saying,559 There shall not fail3772 you a man376 in my sight6440 to sit3427 on the throne3678 of Israel;3478 yet7535 so that your children1121 take heed8104 to their way1870 to walk3212 in my law,8451 as you have walked3212 before6440 me.

17 Now6258 then, O LORD3068 God430 of Israel,3478 let your word1697 be verified,539 which834 you have spoken1696 to your servant5650 David.1732

18 But will God430 in very552 deed dwell3427 with men120 on5921 the earth?776 behold,2009 heaven8064 and the heaven8064 of heavens8064 cannot3808 contain3557 you; how637 much637 less this2088 house1004 which834 I have built!1129

19 Have respect6437 therefore to the prayer8605 of your servant,5650 and to his supplication,8467 O LORD3068 my God,430 to listen8085 to the cry7440 and the prayer8605 which834 your servant5650 prays6419 before6440 you:

20 That your eyes5869 may be open6605 on this2088 house1004 day3119 and night,3915 on the place4725 whereof834 you have said559 that you would put7760 your name8034 there;8033 to listen8085 to the prayer8605 which834 your servant5650 prays6419 toward413 this2088 place.4725

21 Listen8085 therefore to the supplications8469 of your servant,5650 and of your people5971 Israel,3478 which834 they shall make toward413 this2088 place:4725 hear8085 you from your dwelling3427 place,4725 even from heaven;8064 and when you hear,8085 forgive.5545

22 If518 a man376 sin2398 against his neighbor,7453 and an oath423 be laid5375 on him to make him swear,422 and the oath423 come935 before6440 your altar4196 in this2088 house;1004

23 Then hear8085 you from heaven,8064 and do,6213 and judge8199 your servants,5650 by requiting7725 the wicked,7563 by recompensing5414 his way1870 on his own head;7218 and by justifying6663 the righteous,6662 by giving5414 him according to his righteousness.6666

24 And if518 your people5971 Israel3478 be put to the worse5062 before6440 the enemy,341 because3588 they have sinned2398 against you; and shall return7725 and confess3034 your name,8034 and pray6419 and make supplication2603 before6440 you in this2088 house;1004

25 Then hear8085 you from the heavens,8064 and forgive5545 the sin2403 of your people5971 Israel,3478 and bring7725 them again7725 to the land127 which834 you gave5414 to them and to their fathers.1

26 When the heaven8064 is shut6113 up, and there is no3808 rain,4306 because3588 they have sinned2398 against you; yet if they pray6419 toward413 this2088 place,4725 and confess3034 your name,8034 and turn7725 from their sin,2408 when3588 you do afflict6031 them;

27 Then hear8085 you from heaven,8064 and forgive5545 the sin2398 of your servants,5650 and of your people5971 Israel,3478 when3588 you have taught3384 them the good2896 way,1870 wherein834 they should walk;3212 and send5414 rain4306 on your land,776 which834 you have given5414 to your people5971 for an inheritance.5159

28 If3588 there be dearth7458 in the land,776 if3588 there be pestilence,1698 if3588 there be blasting,7711 or mildew,3420 locusts,697 or caterpillars;2625 if3588 their enemies341 besiege6696 them in the cities8179 of their land;776 whatever3605 sore5061 or whatever3605 sickness4245 there be:

29 Then what834 prayer8605 or what supplication8467 soever834 shall be made of any3605 man,120 or of all3605 your people5971 Israel,3478 when834 every376 one shall know3045 his own sore5061 and his own grief,4341 and shall spread6566 forth his hands3709 in this2088 house:1004

30 Then hear8085 you from heaven8064 your dwelling3427 place,4349 and forgive,5545 and render5415 to every man120 according to all3605 his ways,1870 whose834 853 heart3824 you know;3045 (for you only905 know3045 the hearts3824 of the children1121 of men:120)

31 That they may fear3372 you, to walk3212 in your ways,1870 so3605 long3117 as they live2416 in the land127 which834 you gave5414 to our fathers.1

32 Moreover1571 concerning413 the stranger,5237 which834 is not of your people5971 Israel,3478 but is come935 from a far7350 country776 for your great1419 name's8034 sake,4616 and your mighty2389 hand,3027 and your stretched5186 out arm;2220 if they come935 and pray6419 in this2088 house;1004

33 Then hear8085 you from the heavens,8064 even from your dwelling3427 place,4349 and do6213 according to all3605 that the stranger5237 calls7121 to you for; that all3605 people5971 of the earth776 may know3045 your name,8034 and fear3372 you, as does your people5971 Israel,3478 and may know3045 that this2088 house1004 which834 I have built1129 is called7121 by your name.8034

34 If3588 your people5971 go3318 out to war4421 against5921 their enemies341 by the way1870 that you shall send7971 them, and they pray to you toward1870 this2063 city5892 which834 you have chosen,977 and the house1004 which834 I have built1129 for your name;8034

35 Then hear8085 you from the heavens8064 their prayer8605 and their supplication,8467 and maintain6213 their cause.4941

36 If3588 they sin2398 against you, (for there is no369 man120 which834 sins2398 not,) and you be angry599 with them, and deliver5414 them over6440 before6440 their enemies,341 and they carry7617 them away7617 captives7617 to a land776 far7350 off or176 near;7138

37 Yet if they bethink7725 themselves in the land776 where834 8033 they are carried7617 captive,7617 and turn7725 and pray2603 to you in the land776 of their captivity,7633 saying,559 We have sinned,2398 we have done amiss,5753 and have dealt wickedly;7561

38 If they return7725 to you with all3605 their heart3820 and with all3605 their soul5315 in the land776 of their captivity,7633 where834 they have carried7617 them captives,7617 and pray6419 toward1870 their land,776 which834 you gave5414 to their fathers,1 and toward the city5892 which834 you have chosen,977 and toward the house1004 which834 I have built1129 for your name:8034

39 Then hear8085 you from the heavens,8064 even from your dwelling3427 place,4349 their prayer8605 and their supplications,8467 and maintain6213 their cause,4941 and forgive5545 your people5971 which834 have sinned2398 against you.

40 Now,6258 my God,430 let, I beseech4994 you, your eyes5869 be open,6605 and let your ears241 be attentive7183 to the prayer8605 that is made in this2088 place.4725

41 Now6258 therefore arise,6965 O LORD3068 God,430 into your resting5118 place, you, and the ark727 of your strength:5797 let your priests,3548 O LORD3068 God,430 be clothed3847 with salvation,8668 and let your saints2623 rejoice8055 in goodness.2896

42 O LORD3068 God,430 turn7725 not away the face6440 of your anointed:4899 remember2142 the mercies2617 of David1732 your servant.5650

4 А він сказав: „Благословенний Госпо́дь, Бог Ізраїлів, що Своїми устами говорив був із моїм батьком Давидом, і руками Своїми ви́конав, кажучи:

4 And he said,559 Blessed1288 be the LORD3068 God430 of Israel,3478 who has with his hands3027 fulfilled4390 that which834 he spoke1696 with his mouth6310 to my father25 David,1732 saying,559

5 Від того дня, коли Я вивів Свій народ з єгипетського кра́ю, Я не вибрав Собі міста зо всіх Ізраїлевих племе́н, щоб збудувати храм на пробува́ння Мого Імени там. І не вибрав Я ніко́го, щоб був володарем над народом Моїм, Ізраїлем.

5 Since4480 the day3117 that I brought3318 forth3318 my people5971 out of the land776 of Egypt4714 I chose977 no3808 city5892 among all3605 the tribes7626 of Israel3478 to build1129 an house1004 in, that my name8034 might be there;8033 neither3808 chose977 I any man376 to be a ruler5057 over5921 my people5971 Israel:3478

6 Та вибрав Я Єрусали́м на пробува́ння Мого Імени там, і вибрав Я Давида, щоб був над народом Моїм, Ізраїлем.

6 But I have chosen977 Jerusalem,3389 that my name8034 might be there;8033 and have chosen977 David1732 to be over5921 my people5971 Israel.3478

7 І було на серці мого батька Давида збудува́ти храм для Ймення Господа, Бога Ізраїлевого.

7 Now it was in the heart3824 of David1732 my father25 to build1129 an house1004 for the name8034 of the LORD3068 God430 of Israel.3478

8 Та сказав Господь до мого батька Давида: За те, що на твоє́му серці було збудувати храм для Ймення Мого, ти зробив добре, що було тобі на серці.

8 But the LORD3068 said559 to David1732 my father,25 For as much as it was in your heart3824 to build1129 an house1004 for my name,8034 you did well2895 in that it was in your heart:3824

9 Тільки ти не збудуєш цього храму, але син твій, що вийде із сте́гон твоїх, — він збудує цей храм для Ймення Мого!

9 Notwithstanding7535 you shall not build1129 the house;1004 but your son1121 which shall come3318 forth3318 out of your loins,2504 he shall build1129 the house1004 for my name.8034

10 І спо́внив Госпо́дь Своє слово, що Він говорив. І став я замість батька свого Давида та й сів на Ізраїлевому троні, як говорив був Господь, і я збудував оцей храм для Ймення Господа, Бога Ізраїлевого.

14 та й сказав: „Господи, Боже Ізраїлів! Нема подібного Тобі Бога на небі та на землі! Ти стереже́ш заповіта та милість для Своїх рабів, що ходять перед Твоїм лицем усім своїм серцем.

14 And said,559 O LORD3068 God430 of Israel,3478 there is no369 God430 like3644 you in the heaven,8064 nor in the earth;776 which keep8104 covenant,1285 and show mercy2617 to your servants,5650 that walk1980 before6440 you with all3605 their hearts:3820

15 Ти спо́внив Своєму рабові Давидові, батькові моєму, те, що говорив йому. І говорив Ти йому Своїми устами, а рукою Своєю ви́повнив, як цього дня.

15 You which have kept8104 with your servant5650 David1732 my father25 that which834 you have promised1696 him; and spoke1696 with your mouth,6310 and have fulfilled4390 it with your hand,3027 as it is this2088 day.3117

16 А тепер, Господи, Боже Ізраїлів, спо́вни для Свого раба Давида, мого батька, те, що говорив Ти йому, кажучи: Не переведе́ться з-перед лиця Мого ніхто з тих, що мають сидіти на Ізраїлевому троні, якщо тільки сини твої будуть доде́ржувати своїх доріг, щоб ходити в Зако́ні Моїм, як ти ходив перед лицем Моїм.

16 Now6258 therefore, O LORD3068 God430 of Israel,3478 keep8104 with your servant5650 David1732 my father25 that which834 you have promised1696 him, saying,559 There shall not fail3772 you a man376 in my sight6440 to sit3427 on the throne3678 of Israel;3478 yet7535 so that your children1121 take heed8104 to their way1870 to walk3212 in my law,8451 as you have walked3212 before6440 me.

17 А тепер, Господи, Боже Ізраїлів, нехай буде запе́внене слово Твоє, яке Ти говорив рабові Своєму Давидові.

17 Now6258 then, O LORD3068 God430 of Israel,3478 let your word1697 be verified,539 which834 you have spoken1696 to your servant5650 David.1732

18 Бо чи ж справді Бог сидить з люди́ною на землі? Ось небо та небо небе́с не обіймають Тебе, — що́ ж тоді храм цей, що я збудував?

18 But will God430 in very552 deed dwell3427 with men120 on5921 the earth?776 behold,2009 heaven8064 and the heaven8064 of heavens8064 cannot3808 contain3557 you; how637 much637 less this2088 house1004 which834 I have built!1129

19 І Ти зве́рнешся до молитви Свого раба та до його блага́ння, Господи, Боже мій, щоб почути по́клик та молитву, якою раб Твій мо́литься перед лицем Твоїм,

19 Have respect6437 therefore to the prayer8605 of your servant,5650 and to his supplication,8467 O LORD3068 my God,430 to listen8085 to the cry7440 and the prayer8605 which834 your servant5650 prays6419 before6440 you:

20 щоб очі Твої були відкриті на цей храм удень та вночі, на те місце, про яке Ти сказав, що покладе́ш Ім'я́ Своє там, щоб почути молитву, якою буде моли́тися Твій раб на цьому місці.

20 That your eyes5869 may be open6605 on this2088 house1004 day3119 and night,3915 on the place4725 whereof834 you have said559 that you would put7760 your name8034 there;8033 to listen8085 to the prayer8605 which834 your servant5650 prays6419 toward413 this2088 place.4725

21 І Ти бу́деш прислуха́тися до блага́нь Свого раба та Свого народу, Ізраїля, що будуть молитися на цьому місці. І Ти почуєш із місця Свого пробува́ння, із небе́с — і почуєш, і пробачиш.

21 Listen8085 therefore to the supplications8469 of your servant,5650 and of your people5971 Israel,3478 which834 they shall make toward413 this2088 place:4725 hear8085 you from your dwelling3427 place,4725 even from heaven;8064 and when you hear,8085 forgive.5545

22 Якщо згрішить люди́на проти свого бли́жнього, і буде примушена прине́сти клятву, щоб присягнути, і клятва при́йде перед Твоїм же́ртівником у цьому храмі,

22 If518 a man376 sin2398 against his neighbor,7453 and an oath423 be laid5375 on him to make him swear,422 and the oath423 come935 before6440 your altar4196 in this2088 house;1004

23 то Ти почуєш із небе́с, і зробиш, і розсу́диш Своїх рабів, — обвинува́тиш несправедливого, щоб дати його дорогу на його го́лову, й усправедли́виш справедливого, щоб дати йому за його справедливістю.

23 Then hear8085 you from heaven,8064 and do,6213 and judge8199 your servants,5650 by requiting7725 the wicked,7563 by recompensing5414 his way1870 on his own head;7218 and by justifying6663 the righteous,6662 by giving5414 him according to his righteousness.6666

24 А якщо Твій наро́д, Ізра́їль, бу́де вда́рений ворогом, бо прогрішив Тобі, і коли вони зве́рнуться, і бу́дуть хвалити Ім'я́ Твоє, і будуть молитися, і будуть благати Тебе в цьому храмі,

24 And if518 your people5971 Israel3478 be put to the worse5062 before6440 the enemy,341 because3588 they have sinned2398 against you; and shall return7725 and confess3034 your name,8034 and pray6419 and make supplication2603 before6440 you in this2088 house;1004

25 то Ти почуєш із небе́с, і про́стиш гріх народу Свого, Ізраїля, і ве́рнеш їх до землі, яку дав Ти їм та їхнім батькам!

25 Then hear8085 you from the heavens,8064 and forgive5545 the sin2403 of your people5971 Israel,3478 and bring7725 them again7725 to the land127 which834 you gave5414 to them and to their fathers.1

26 Коли затримається небо, і не буде дощу, бо прогріша́ться Тобі, то вони помоляться на цьому місці, і будуть сла́вити Ім'я́ Твоє, — і з гріха́ свого наве́рнуться, бо Ти будеш їх впокоря́ти, —

26 When the heaven8064 is shut6113 up, and there is no3808 rain,4306 because3588 they have sinned2398 against you; yet if they pray6419 toward413 this2088 place,4725 and confess3034 your name,8034 and turn7725 from their sin,2408 when3588 you do afflict6031 them;

27 то Ти почу́єш на небеса́х, і пробачиш гріх Своїх рабів та народу Свого, Ізраїля, бо покажеш їм ту добру дорогу, якою вони пі́дуть, і Ти даси дощ на Край Свій, якого Ти дав Своєму наро́дові на спа́дщину!

27 Then hear8085 you from heaven,8064 and forgive5545 the sin2398 of your servants,5650 and of your people5971 Israel,3478 when3588 you have taught3384 them the good2896 way,1870 wherein834 they should walk;3212 and send5414 rain4306 on your land,776 which834 you have given5414 to your people5971 for an inheritance.5159

28 Голод коли бу́де в Краю́, морови́ця коли буде, посу́ха, жовта́чка, сарана́, черва́ коли буде, коли його вороги гноби́тимуть його́ в Краї міст його, коли буде яка пора́за, яка хвороба, —

28 If3588 there be dearth7458 in the land,776 if3588 there be pestilence,1698 if3588 there be blasting,7711 or mildew,3420 locusts,697 or caterpillars;2625 if3588 their enemies341 besiege6696 them in the cities8179 of their land;776 whatever3605 sore5061 or whatever3605 sickness4245 there be:

29 усяка молитва, усяке блага́ння, що буде від якої люди́ни чи від усього наро́ду Твого́, Ізраїля, коли кожен буде знати пора́зу свою та горе своє, і простя́гне руки свої до цього храму,

29 Then what834 prayer8605 or what supplication8467 soever834 shall be made of any3605 man,120 or of all3605 your people5971 Israel,3478 when834 every376 one shall know3045 his own sore5061 and his own grief,4341 and shall spread6566 forth his hands3709 in this2088 house:1004

30 то Ти почуєш із небе́с, із місця постійного пробува́ння Свого́, — і пробачиш, і даси тому чоловікові за всіма́ його дорогами, бо Ти знаєш серце його, бо Ти один знаєш серце лю́дських синів,

30 Then hear8085 you from heaven8064 your dwelling3427 place,4349 and forgive,5545 and render5415 to every man120 according to all3605 his ways,1870 whose834 853 heart3824 you know;3045 (for you only905 know3045 the hearts3824 of the children1121 of men:120)

31 щоб вони боялися Тебе, і ходили Твоїми дорогами по всі дні, які вони житимуть на поверхні землі, яку Ти дав батька́м нашим!

31 That they may fear3372 you, to walk3212 in your ways,1870 so3605 long3117 as they live2416 in the land127 which834 you gave5414 to our fathers.1

32 Також і чужи́нця, який не з наро́ду Твого, Ізраїля, і він при́йде з далекого кра́ю ради Йме́ння Твого́ великого, і руки́ Твоєї Сильної та раме́на Твого ви́тягненого, і при́йде, і помо́литься в цьому храмі,

32 Moreover1571 concerning413 the stranger,5237 which834 is not of your people5971 Israel,3478 but is come935 from a far7350 country776 for your great1419 name's8034 sake,4616 and your mighty2389 hand,3027 and your stretched5186 out arm;2220 if they come935 and pray6419 in this2088 house;1004

33 то Ти почуєш це з небе́с, місця постійного пробува́ння Свого, і зробиш усе, про що буде кликати до Тебе той чужи́нець, щоб усі наро́ди землі пізнали Ім'я́ Твоє, та щоб боялися Тебе, як народ Твій, Ізра́їль, і щоб пізнали вони, що Ім'я́ Твоє покликане над оцім храмом, що я збудував!

33 Then hear8085 you from the heavens,8064 even from your dwelling3427 place,4349 and do6213 according to all3605 that the stranger5237 calls7121 to you for; that all3605 people5971 of the earth776 may know3045 your name,8034 and fear3372 you, as does your people5971 Israel,3478 and may know3045 that this2088 house1004 which834 I have built1129 is called7121 by your name.8034

34 Коли народ Твій ви́йде на війну на своїх ворогів, доро́гою, якою Ти пошле́ш їх, і помо́ляться вони до Тебе в напрямі до цього міста, що Ти вибрав його, та храму, що я збудував для Ймення Твого,

34 If3588 your people5971 go3318 out to war4421 against5921 their enemies341 by the way1870 that you shall send7971 them, and they pray to you toward1870 this2063 city5892 which834 you have chosen,977 and the house1004 which834 I have built1129 for your name;8034

35 то почуєш Ти з небе́с їхню молитву та їхнє блага́ння, — і вчиниш їм суд!

35 Then hear8085 you from the heavens8064 their prayer8605 and their supplication,8467 and maintain6213 their cause.4941

36 Коли вони згріша́ть Тобі, — бо немає люди́ни, щоб вона не згріши́ла, — і Ти розгніваєшся на них, і даси їх во́рогові, а їхні поневі́льники ві́зьмуть їх до неволі до кра́ю далекого чи близько́го,

36 If3588 they sin2398 against you, (for there is no369 man120 which834 sins2398 not,) and you be angry599 with them, and deliver5414 them over6440 before6440 their enemies,341 and they carry7617 them away7617 captives7617 to a land776 far7350 off or176 near;7138

37 і коли вони при́йдуть до розуму в краю́, куди взяті до неволі, і наве́рнуться, і бу́дуть блага́ти Тебе в краю́ своєї неволі, говорячи: Ми згрішили, скривили дорогу свою, і були ми несправедливі,

37 Yet if they bethink7725 themselves in the land776 where834 8033 they are carried7617 captive,7617 and turn7725 and pray2603 to you in the land776 of their captivity,7633 saying,559 We have sinned,2398 we have done amiss,5753 and have dealt wickedly;7561

38 і коли вони наве́рнуться до Те́бе всім своїм серцем і всією́ душею своєю в краю́ своєї неволі, куди їх понево́лили, і помоляться в напрямі до свого Кра́ю, що Ти дав їхнім батькам, і в напрямі міста, яке Ти вибрав, та храму, що я збудував для Ймення Твого́,

38 If they return7725 to you with all3605 their heart3820 and with all3605 their soul5315 in the land776 of their captivity,7633 where834 they have carried7617 them captives,7617 and pray6419 toward1870 their land,776 which834 you gave5414 to their fathers,1 and toward the city5892 which834 you have chosen,977 and toward the house1004 which834 I have built1129 for your name:8034

39 то Ти почуєш із небе́с, із постійного місця пробува́ння Свого́, їхню молитву та їхні блага́ння, і вчи́ниш їм суд, і про́стиш Своє́му наро́дові, що вони згрішили Тобі!

39 Then hear8085 you from the heavens,8064 even from your dwelling3427 place,4349 their prayer8605 and their supplications,8467 and maintain6213 their cause,4941 and forgive5545 your people5971 which834 have sinned2398 against you.

40 Тепер, Боже мій, благаю, нехай будуть очі Твої відкриті, а уші Твої наста́влені на слу́хання молитви цього місця!

40 Now,6258 my God,430 let, I beseech4994 you, your eyes5869 be open,6605 and let your ears241 be attentive7183 to the prayer8605 that is made in this2088 place.4725

41 А тепер, — Устань же, о Господи, Боже, на Свій відпочи́нок, Ти й ковчег сили Твоєї! Священики Твої, о Господи Боже, нехай у спасі́ння зодя́гнуться, а побо́жні Твої хай добром веселя́ться!

41 Now6258 therefore arise,6965 O LORD3068 God,430 into your resting5118 place, you, and the ark727 of your strength:5797 let your priests,3548 O LORD3068 God,430 be clothed3847 with salvation,8668 and let your saints2623 rejoice8055 in goodness.2896

42 Господи Боже, не відве́ртай лиця від Свого́ помазанця, згадай же про милість Своєму рабові Давиду!“

42 O LORD3068 God,430 turn7725 not away the face6440 of your anointed:4899 remember2142 the mercies2617 of David1732 your servant.5650
